It’s me, Lembos Hauser, solo dev by night, peach flavoured iced tea enthusiast by choice, and proud creator of Safe Spinal – a medical reference app designed to help clinical decision-making for anaesthesiologists in Germany. Clean, practical, and (finally) finished.
Turns out, building something from scratch – even with limited coding experience – is kind of addictive. The thrill of watching a simple idea transform into functioning program, game or just a simple mechanic like coyote time gives me a great feeling of actually creating something - it really is addictive. So, naturally, I decided to take it a step further; inspired by the endless possibilities, I started designing a “full-blown” video game. I know, this journey will be a very long one, the odds are against me and I already feel overwhelmed, but even the biggest journey starts with its first stept, doesnt it?
And here is the idea of Lumox – probalby a 2D-platformer where light isn’t just illumination: it’s your resource and your weapon. Just imagine a dark world to puzzle into light and fight your enemies with the same ligt, set in a moody machine graveyard. In my head it is great. I love it because it challenges me. But it is still in its very beginnings.
I may not be a coding veteran, but I try to learn, break things with confidence, and resolve issues—often late into the night when the world is asleep and my creativity ignites. In those after-hours sessions, I try to learn coding, try to implement new systems, try to get the game running, all while powered by a glass full of peach flavoured iced tea. If you like it, stay with me. Maybe we finish this game together?
